This simple signal converter takes as its input EIA422 (RS232) full differential digital signals and adjusts them to appear as an 11uA analogue signal. Where only a single ended (Vcc, Gnd, A, B, Ref) input/output is needed the complementary signals need not be connected.
The input side has a 9D female connector with the output side a 9D male connector, both to the EMSi connection arrangement. As such, it can be used to convert EMSi, (or 3rd party), encoders with a digital output to interface with legacy 11uA DRO systems. Adapter leads may be needed.
This unit produces a 4-fold analogue period from the input resolution. As such, a 20um grating simulation is created from a 5um resolution input. Note: This is only suitable for digital readout or low-performance systems. The final resolution, after interpolation within the counter, cannot exceed the input resolution.
|Input Signal||EIA422 (RS422) Differential Quadrature|
|Output Signal||11uA Analogue|
|Connections||9D Female to 9D Male|
|Interpolation||4-fold (20um period from 5um resolution input)|
|Max. Input speed||2ms-1|
